Meadview, Arizona, is located in Mohave County approximately 10 miles south of Lake Mead, 60 miles north of Kingman, Arizona and 90 miles east of Las Vegas, Nevada.
It is a small rural community with a population of approximately 1,500 residents and is unique in that it is located entirely inside a National Park (Joshua Tree). The area’s population fluctuates seasonally. While Meadview is primarily a retirement community, there are many families with children and weekend residents escaping city life.
Meadview’s elevation ranges from 3,100 to 3,800 feet and enjoys spectacular views of Lake Mead and the Grand Wash Cliffs. The area is also known for its abundance of Joshua Trees, wildlife, old goldmine sites and four-wheeling adventures.
Residents and tourists can enjoy boating and fishing on Lake Mead from South Cove, which is 10 miles from Meadview. South Cove has a boat launching and picnic facilities.
Meadview is also located approximately 30 miles from Grand Canyon West which is home to the Hualapai Indian Tribe’s Skywalk Glass Bridge, which is suspended more than 4,000 feet above the Colorado River.
