St. Mary's is a census-designated place and Unincorporated community in Clear Creek County, Colorado, United States. The population was 251 at the 2000 census and 283 at the 2010 census.
Fantastic views, easy access, only a short drive to Idaho Springs. As you can see from the pictures the photographer took in this ad, and also the overhead pictures from the county, the land has great views and is in a perfect location. It has a slope. Electricity is available in
The photographer who took pictures of the property -- I have never visited it as I live out of town -- mentioned that you might possibly be able to do something with the property by first having a spot leveled off the road from the Texas Dr side, instead of Harris Circle - which unfortunately has someone close by. If you look at the "thickest" part of the parcel, from Texas to Harris (SE corner to NW corner if you will), the property gains about 100 ft in elevation so that would not be the ideal location for anything. The county does not maintain Harris Cir road in winter. Of course, any plans for the property would have to be approved by the county and the St. Mary’s Property Owners’ Association (http://stmarysglacier.com/) While POA membership is voluntary, it still would be a good idea to connect with them.
Having said all that, it's in a beautiful location, about an hour away from Denver. Besides the pictures of the property itself, I have also included some pictures of signs leading to it. The town of Idaho Springs is beautiful.
